The person mentioned in that article is supposed to have committed a Trending shirt, and then admitted this crime to law enforcement, in a place where the activity would still be considered a crime. If HK isn’t going to send him back to face trial in the jurisdiction the crime was committed, why aren’t they charging and sentencing him themselves? Am I reading it correctly, that there used to be a system in place, where anyone committing a crime in either jurisdiction would be sent back to face charges? And then this changed later?
